It’s been a while since coeur introduced Julian, coeur's resident dandy. To get to know him better we’re releasing, with his consent of course, a page out of his dairy. Enjoy!

“ Today was one of these days where I craved for an oasis outside my house to relax and pamper my taste buds and soul. One place came into mind: Cocomaya. Whenever I feel like this, come rain or shine, I feel drawn towards excellent tea and homemade treats. It’s also a great place to invite friends to for a cordial get-together.

I gathered my favorite book, put on my dearest bright red coeur jacket, took the umbrella and I was off. Hidden away in a side street of Sloane Square is where my secret hiding place resides. As soon as I walk in, the smell of freshly baked goods lifts my spirits. I take a seat and ask the oh so smart looking waitress to help me find my medicine for today.  The bright light blue wall color of the interior and the use of gold brown wood in the shelving and paneling contributes to the calmness and comfort the place exudes.

My Mountain Grey tea arrives as usual in seemingly mismatched teapot, cup and saucer. The foxhunting-theme on the cup makes me feel very heritage indeed. I look around to see whether the lovely trinkets, displayed on the glass shelving behind me changed. My eyes wander of, gliding across the beautiful plant filled windows over to the traditional wooden table, under which old bread baskets are kept. This table and the cabinet next to it are filled with pure, fine artisanal delights and delicious treats. I manage to make a choice and get back to my book. I opt for the Morning Chocolate Gateau and Spelt Bread.  What delight!  Even though I am not the only customer at that time it feels quiet and homely.

After having indulged in many guilty and not so guilty pleasures I stroll back home happy and content. “
